CLASS: Light for the journey [Part 1]

Light for the Journey: Contemporary Reflections on the Foundational Truths of the Christian Faith [Part 1]

You Should Take This Class If:

You are a relatively new believer in Christ Jesus; or if you are not quite sure about Christianity and seek to know more before making a decision to follow Christ; or if you are needing a refresher in the great foundational truths of the Christian faith.


Overview:

Everyone has a world-view. A Christian world-view, however, offers the greatest hope for the world through the redemptive work of God through Jesus Christ.


Outcomes:

At the end of this class you will have developed a thinking about God that is biblically-based, ready to be confidently lived out in today's culture.

Week 1 - Who is God? Week 2 - Who is Jesus Christ? Week 3 - Who is the Holy Spirit? Week 4 - The Holy Scriptures. Week 5 - Human Destiny. Week 6 - The Meaning of Salvation. Week 7 - Justified by Faith.

CLASS: In the Beginning [part 1]

In the Beginning: Lessons from the Dawn of Time [Part 1: Genesis 1-11]

Overview:

The book of Genesis lays the foundation for understanding God's view and value of life, work, marriage, creation and more.


Outcomes:

At the end of this class you will have received a clearer understanding of key cultural issues as seen through the eyes of God.


Topics:

Week 1 - Human life is of infinite value. Week 2 - A Marriage is a Husband and a Wife and a power beyond them both. Week 3 - Something is wrong with this world that people just can't fix. Week 4 - A good person must obey God regardless of what the world thinks. Week 5 - Just because I can doesn't mean I should.
